A protest of hundreds of people turned violent in Anaheim Wednesday night after the crowd starting blocking streets, hitting vehicles, tagging on homes and smashing windows. 24 people were arrested following the protest around Euclid Street and Palais Road. They were protesting the off-duty Los Angeles Police officer who shot his gun once during a scuffle with several teenagers on Tuesday in Anaheim.
Some of my favorite breaking news video I shot during 2016. Hopefully in a week or so I will put together a post of my favorite breaking news photos.
Around 3:40 am. a two alarm fire broke out at Orange County Fire Authority Station 61 at 8081 Western Avenue across from Knott’s Berry Farm. All the firefighters inside the station, which houses eight firefighters and one battalion chief, evacuated safely. Engine 61 was out on a call when the fire broke out and returned to the station to help fight the fire. Sixty-four firefighters sent to the scene were working to fully extinguish the flames several hours after the fire broke out. Destroyed in the fire were a 100-foot aerial ladder truck, a battalion chief’s Chevrolet SUV, a fire department pickup truck, and a swift water rescue boat.
